Experienced Asterisk VOIP Consultants

Experienced Asterisk VOIP Consultants have the knowledge and understanding to establish an existing telephony connection from an Asterisk PBX to an old PBX, in fact Asterisk VOIP Consultants provide access to VOIP services, including IVR (interactive voice response) and call recording while the old PBX continues to connect to the outside world in the way it always has.

Asterisk was one of the first open source PBX software packages and like any PBX (private branch exchange) enables attached telephones to make calls to one another and to further connect other telephones services including PSTN (public switch telephone network and VOIP service (voice over internet protocol). Asterisk is able to support a wide range of video and can interoperate with most SIP telephones, acting both as registrar and as a gateway between IP phones and the PSTN.

By supporting a mix of traditional and VoIP telephony services, Asterisk allows Asterisk VOIP Consultants to build new telephone systems, or to migrate an existing system to new technologies. Some businesses may be using Asterisk servers to replace a proprietary PBX and others to provide additional features (such as voice mail or voice response menus) or to reduce costs by carrying long-distance calls over the Internet (known as a toll bypass).

To configure Asterisk into an operational system, Asterisk VOIP Consultants will work with experienced engineers to ensure during the configuration of the Asterisk system the many Asterisk features readily available are configured to meet the needs of the business. Asterisk system features including to name but a few: voice mail, conference calling, IVR (interactive voice response), automatic call distribution and call recording.
